Mission & History

  • The mission of United Campus Ministry of Greater Houston is to demonstrate the love of God as expressed through Jesus Christ through programs initiated within the local college and university communities which equip,inform and serve.
  • UCMGH was established in 1968 as an ecumenical partnership between the Presbyterian Church (USA), the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), and the United Church of Christ. We have served the UT School of Medicine, HCC locations, Texas Southern University, UHD, and Rice University.

We believe in providing spiritual care to college students with no strings attached. 

Being guided by the gospel of Jesus Christ means that we care for all creation.

Campus Ministry Association

United Campus Ministry is an active member of the Campus Ministry Association of the A.D. Bruce Religion Center.  This organization is comprised of over ten different campus ministry that enable us to work together on inter faith initiatives on campus.  For more information on A.D. resident campus ministry for HOuston Churches

UCM serves as the resident campus ministry for college students of any local PCUSA, UCC, or DOC congregation.  College students in these congregations are invited to all of our events and programs.  To find out how to get your congregation connected to the news click here to be added to the updates.
